Distributed Message Service (DMS)

Communication between applications

The Distributed Message Service allows communication between different applications to, for example, synchronise data and processes. The service runs on distributed computer clusters, making it highly scalable. It provides a RESTful API to access the generated messages. The queued messages are stored in different partitions, and each partition provides three copies of the messages.

The cloud-native service can be used directly without any additional hardware or software resources. DMS is available through an easy-to-use web console. This establishes so-called message queues which are executed sequentially according to the first-in-first-out principle. This allows individual components of a cloud application to synchronise, for example, the status of data. DMS supports several queuing processes and dead letter queues.
