Backup as a Service (BaaS) allows you to perform one-time or rule-based backups and restores via self-service. Defined and non-changeable backup profiles are available for rule-based backup. These differ in terms of frequency and type of backup, and also in terms of the retention period for the data.
BaaS is accessed via a separate self-service portal. The backups are stored in a separate backend infrastructure in the same data center as the virtual data center (vDC) (e.g., DC-A) and then mirrored to the other data center of the twin-core (e.g., DC-B) (redundant data storage).
